This week was a really good week for us because we were able to narrow down a lot of things and get an idea for what’s to come for our project. We’ve taken some inspiration from other projects done in the past and used that to guide what we want to do. I always like taking inspiration from others and using that to help make my idea unique, and that’s what we’re doing.
We’re aiming for something along the lines of a learning experience similar to the Taekwondo project example. We have all the elements we need to make something like this (video cameras, cameras, a teacher, etc), we just have to put it together. I think that this week we put ourselves in a good position and we’re ahead of the game. Some of the things we have planned are researching, building a website to document our learning experiences, and creating a video for added effect and spice up the documentation. I personally look forward to the media editing process and working with the website. I think we also plan on practicing our golfing skills sometime in the future so that the video will look a little better had we not prepared in that way.
Everyone in the group has been cooperative, on time, and contributed when we were working. I think the contract helped with that, but overall I think we have a committed group of people anyway. We aren’t assigning different tasks to different people which I think is the right call. We’re all pitching in where we can, and while some people might prefer to do one thing over another everyone is still willing to help out. I look forward to the coming weeks for when we start doing some real work after preparation is over.
